Gayatri believes yoga is an excellent way to "train" for the marathon of labor and motherhood especially when the Tupler Technique is incorporated into the poses and the breathing. Practicing Yoga during and after pregnancy helps to strengthen and stretch muscles, release tension and maintain good posture. Her Yoga sessions are tailored to the level of the client and their needs. Gayatri focuses on the connection of the mind and the breath to movement. This can create peace-of-mind and be used to access your relaxation response. Pre-natal sessions are partly dynamic vinyasa (flowing) style with pranayama (breathing exercises, adjusting poses to your changing body and their connection to labor and birth. Post partum classes are more dynamic vinyasa (flowing) style with pranayama (breathing exercises, and the addition of postures not possible during the pregnancy.
