Julie will be giving 3 webinars as part of the Project for questions and support. These webinars will be recorded in case you cannot attend. If you cannot attend you can send her your questions in advance. The dates of the three Sunday Webinars are:

The Platelet Procedure will be done from May 31st to June 3rd. Those coming in from out of town will be scheduled on June 3rd so they would only have to stay overnight one night to attend my class the next day. Dr Patel will schedule 2-4 people a day over the 4 days. To prepare for this procedure you must stay away from NSAID medications for 2 weeks prior to your procedure and until after Session #3 on June 25th. This includes, Ibuprofen, Motrin,
Advil and Aleve. Dr. Patel will advise and/or prescribe alternative medications as needed. You should drink plenty of fluids 1 day before and the morning of your procedure. You should eat breakfast the morning of the procedure but avoid coffee that morning and alcohol the night before. On the day of your procedure, blood will be taken out of your arm veins.
On the day of the procedure, you will also pay $860 for the lab work and procedure. Dr. Patel is not charging you for his time. The lab processing takes about two hours. You will need to put your splint on right after you have the platelets injected into your connective tissue. You will need to stop the seated exercises for 3 days. However, you will still be using the transverse muscle with activities of daily living.
In order to make the Project successful you must commit to the following:
- Wearing the Diastasis Rehab® Splint all the time except for 15 minutes when bathing each day and after getting the injection into your connective tissue. You will be putting the splint on immediately after you have the procedure done.
- Do all 4 steps of the Tupler Technique® every day. We will partner you up with a belly buddy.
- Have your diastasis measured by Julie Tupler, RN in all three sessions.
- Having before and after photos taken at the beginning of all three sessions.
- Having a diagnostic ultrasound at the beginning and end of the project.
