Label it Tupler Technique® Splint Holder Contest.  To qualify for the contest you must submit your video by April 30, 2016.

A common complaint of many of our clients is that the Diastasis Rehab Splint® moves around.  Yes, it is a hard area of the body to splint!  We are in the process of developing a tank top that is worn under your splint that your splint can attach to that will keep your splint in place better.  We want your participation in this process as your feedback is very important to us. We want to make a fabulous splint holder! Having the splint stay in place will make it easier to wear. Since you need to wear it all the time, easier to wear is what is wanted and needed!

Here is the “foundation” information how you can make this. The tank top you should get should have spandex in it so it is fitted and on the long side. Should come down to your pubic bone.  Also, being low cut could be helpful for breastfeeding moms to pull it down

What you will be doing is sewing Velcro on this tank top and on the splint to correspond with each other.

Using the diagram above as a guide, sew pieces of loop Velcro behind the side seams of your tank top and a square piece of loop Velcro where your belly button would lie. On the splint, sew hook Velcro on each side of the pad, as well as a square piece of hook Velcro on the bottom arm of the splint. When the loop Velcro of the tank top attaches to the hook Velcro of the splint, the splint will “lock” into place.

These are suggested dimensions for the Velcro:

Short Torso Splints will need two pieces hook velcro and two pieces loop velcro measuring 2” x 6” for the sides. For the square on the shirt, the loop velcro should be 4”x 4” and the hook piece on the arm should measure 2” x 4”.

Regular Torso Splints will need two pieces hook velcro and two pieces loop velcro measuring 2” x 8” for the sides. For the square on the shirt, the loop velcro should be 4”x 4” and the hook piece on the arm should measure 2” x 4”.

These dimensions are only guidelines. We want you to be creative!  If you have any questions please email us.  We can’t wait to see your designs.
