Everything you need to know About the Tupler Technique® Program and professional training.
IMPORTANCE OF GETTING TRAINED IN THE TUPLER TECHNIQUE®
FOR TREATMENT OF DIASTASIS RECTI
Diastasis Recti has been ignored by the medical and fitness community because this condition has been ignored in their medical and fitness education. Diastasis Recti is NOT just cosmetic!
It is imperative that medical professionals include checking for diastasis recti as part of their medical evaluation with patients coming in with back pain, abdominal hernias, and GI and pelvic floor problems. These medical issues may be side effects of a diastasis recti.
The Tupler Technique® should then be included as part of their treatment plan.

Fitness Professionals and the Tupler Technique®:
DID YOU KNOW THAT IMPROPER EXERCISE CAN MAKE A DIASTASIS WORSE?
Fitness Professionals need to know that improper exercise can either create a diastasis or make it larger! If you do this to a client because of lack of knowledge, you are at risk for a law suit! Fitness professionals knowing how to check and then teach the Tupler Technique® Program will have the niche of being able to train clients with diastasis recti. They will not only teach clients the Tupler Technique® but will know how to modify any exercise routine so it is diastasis safe. CRUNCHES CREATE A DIASTASIS......

Spring 2005-Volume 29-Issue 1-pg 11-16
Abstract: This research was presented at Combined Sections Meeting of thr APTA, Boston, MA, 2002 and received the 2002 Research Award from the Section on Women,s Health.
Purpose: The purpose of this project was to determine the effect of the Tupler Technique® abdominal strengthening exercise program on the presence and size of DRA in pregnant women.
Conclusions: The occurrence and the size of DRA is much greater in non-exercising pregnant women than in pregnant women doing the Tupler Technique® Progrem. Because of the integral role the abdominal muscles play in functional activites we recommend examining pregnant and postpartum women for the presence of DRA.
