How to Change Your Outie Belly Button to an Innie One Without Surgery

TLDR: An outie belly button is a sign of an umbilical hernia, which is a side effect of diastasis recti. If you’re not in pain, try the Tupler Technique® first — strengthening your connective tissue can bring support to the belly button and may even turn your outie into an innie without surgery.

If you have an outie belly button, then you have an umbilical hernia. An umbilical hernia is a side effect of a diastasis recti. If you are not having pain with this type of hernia, you should do the Tupler Technique® Program before doing surgery for this. We have had clients NOT need surgery for their umbilical hernia after doing our program. Strengthening the connective tissue with the Tupler Technique® will bring support to the belly button in the process of closing your diastasis. Your belly button will then change from an outie to an innie!
