To find out if you are a candidate for the Short Torso splint, measure the distance between the bottom of your sternum to your belly button. If it is 5 inches or less, than a short torso splint would be good for you. A short torso splint works well on people with a pear shaped body. This splint also can be worn by children. If you have a longer torso, you can wear the short torso in addition to the regular torso (three arm) splint.
