Description of TogetherTummy™ wear tank and splint

WHY YOU SHOULD WEAR A SPLINT IF YOU HAVE A DIASTASIS

Wearing the splint is a very necessary part of the process and healing your connective tissue to make your diastasis smaller. Wearing the splint repositions both of the separated muscles and the connective tissue. Just like continuously wearing a cast to keep the two ends of a broken bone together so the bones fused together.

It is important to continuously wear a splint to keep the separated muscles close together and the connective tissue in a narrow position so the connective tissue can heal in this narrow position to strengthen your separated muscles the muscles need to be close together so they move in the right direction. This direction is front to back but if they are separated four fingers apart or more, they will move in a sideways direction.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DON’T WEAR A SPLINT FOR YOUR DIASTASIS?

A sideways direction movement will not only not strengthen your abdominal muscles it will also stretch your connective tissue and the whole point of my program is to take the stretch off your already stretched out connective tissue.

Healing your connective tissue means making the connective tissue strong enough so it's able to hold the muscles in a close together position…strong connective tissue that's your goal.

THE DIASTASIS REHAB TOGETHERTUMMY™ TANK TOP AND SPLINT

Your feedback over the years about the trials and tribulations of wearing my splint has helped me create my together wear tank top and my together wear splint.

I am so excited about these two items because they will make wearing the splint all the time so much easier.  It will be easier to put it on and easier to wear since you need to wear the splint all the time except for 15 minutes when you bathe.

WHAT CAN THE TOGETHERTUMMY™ TANK TOP AND SPLINT OFFER YOU

Having the elastic arm stay in place will make you so happy and those of you that have been wearing the splint know what I'm talking about.

The tank is unisex for women and men it is made believe it or not out of loop Velcro from nylon and spandex.  It is made right here in the USA especially for me.  Since you are wearing it all the time, I have made the fabric moisture wicked and antimicrobial.

How does this benefit you? Well…

Moisture wicking fabric absorbs and draws our wicks moisture such as sweat from your skin surface. You'll find this fabric technology in a lot of high-performance athletic and sports clothing because of its breathability, drying, and cooling capabilities.  When you sweat your body is trying to cool off most clothing fabrics will keep the moisture trapped preventing sweat from evaporating quickly.

The way that moisture wicking works is that when you wear it and begin to sweat, the property in the fibers absorb and release the moisture to the surface for quick evaporation.

Pretty cool right?

There are a few more benefits of moisture wicking which are:

  • that it prevents bacterial and fungal growth and
  • keeps you cool on hot days and nights
  • also, this fabric has not been dyed as some people are allergic to the ingredients and dye.

There are four sizes for the tank top:

  • extra small/small
  • medium
  • extra large
  • large and
  • extra extra-large

THE TOGETHERTUMMY™ TANK TOP

The tank top should be very fitted just like the way it's fitted on me if it is too big then you need to make it smaller. There's a seam down the back on each side so please make it smaller.  Also, please hand wash it and air dry it.  The filaments in the loop Velcro on the tank and on the pad of the splint will be destroyed and the hook and loop will not work if you put it in the washer and dryer.

THE TOGETHERTUMMY™ SPLINT

The together where split comes in the same five sizes the diastasis rehab splint.  It looks just like it except that it has two pieces of Velcro on the inside of the pad and this hook Velcro is 2 inches by 8 inches. Its purpose is so that it attaches to each side of the tank top. Because the diastasis rehab splint does not have this, putting it on is much harder.  You have to hold both arms to get that top arm attached. Once you attach the pad then you can use both hands to attach the top arm.  You should really effectively move the muscle and connective tissue over.

The other thing that it has that the diastasis we have splint doesn't have is two pieces of 4x4 hook Velcro on the side. This is so that the top arm and the bottom arm will attach on the front and on the side.  This is what keeps the arms in place. The Velcro on the elastic arm is a smooth Velcro and will not scratch you through the tank top.

The TogetherTummy™ wear tank top and splint are sold as a package with a discount or each of the products can be bought individually.
