Maude Baechler, a former professional dancer and now a Tupler Technique Master Trainer, brings a unique blend of artistic and scientific expertise to postnatal rehabilitation. Based in the French-speaking region of Switzerland, Maude’s dedication to women’s health shines through her work as a Pilates and Barre instructor, integrating her deep understanding of body movement with the revolutionary Tupler Technique®.
About Maude Baechler
Maude Baechler’s career is as diverse as it is impressive. Originally a professional contemporary dancer, Maude graced stages in cities like London and Rotterdam. After several years of performing, she took a step back from dance to broaden her professional skills, enrolling at the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne. Here, she gained valuable insights into marketing, finance, and entrepreneurship, laying the groundwork for her future endeavors.
Her corporate experience in the cosmetics industry, combined with her academic background, provided Maude with a comprehensive view of business and client care. However, after the birth of her first child, Maude felt a strong pull back towards her roots in body movement, leading her to train as a Pilates instructor. This transition allowed her to reconnect with her passion for physical fitness and movement, ultimately guiding her to specialize in postnatal care.
Journey to the Tupler Technique®
After the birth of her second child, Maude noticed a growing interest from friends seeking advice on how to close their diastasis. Determined to provide accurate and effective guidance, Maude began her research into diastasis recti—a condition where the abdominal muscles separate during pregnancy. It was through this exploration that she discovered
the Tupler Technique®, developed by Julie Tupler, RN, a method specifically designed to treat diastasis recti.
Maude’s dedication to mastering the Tupler Technique® has not only led her to become a certified trainer but also a Master Trainer, making her one of the few professionals qualified to teach this method in French. Her approach goes beyond just exercises; it encompasses a holistic understanding of core rehabilitation, ensuring that her clients achieve lasting results.
Focus on Postnatal Rehabilitation
Maude Baechler places a strong emphasis on postnatal rehabilitation, helping women restore their core strength and mobility after childbirth. Her unique background as a dancer enriches her practice, allowing her to incorporate elements of grace and fluidity into her teaching. Maude’s sessions are not just workouts; they are a journey towards rediscovering one’s body, guided by a professional who truly understands the postpartum experience.
Through her tailored programs, Maude addresses the physical and emotional challenges that come with postnatal recovery. Her clients benefit from her extensive knowledge of body mechanics, as well as her empathetic approach that considers the complexities of motherhood. Maude’s commitment to her clients’ well-being is evident in every class she teaches, as she continually adapts her methods to best serve their needs.
The Barre Eclipse Method
In addition to the Tupler Technique, Maude offers Barre classes through the Barre Eclipse method, a workout that blends ballet, Pilates, yoga, and strength training. This method is characterized by small, controlled movements that enhance strength, flexibility, and posture. The Barre Eclipse method reflects Maude’s dance heritage, infusing each class with artistic elements that elevate the fitness experience.
Maude’s Barre classes are designed to be both challenging and accessible, providing a balanced workout that supports overall physical health. The integration of breathing techniques and abdominal stabilization, inspired by the Tupler Technique®, makes these classes particularly beneficial for postnatal women. Maude’s clients appreciate the fluidity and effectiveness of her classes, which not only sculpt the body but also nourish the spirit.
