Be my belly buddy!

Hello! I'm Julie. I'm a registered nurse and I'm an exercise instructor and I have one question for you will you be my belly buddy?

If the answer is yes raise your hand and go yes! The reason that I ask you this is because if you have a strong belly it'll make your whole body strong and then everything that you do will be so much easier and so much more fun.

Now under your belly button there's a magical muscle this is the most important muscle in your body because it wraps around your whole body and when you strengthen this muscle it helps your whole body.

So, this muscle is controlled by your belly button. Your belly button makes this muscle go back towards your spine. When it goes back towards your spine this strengthens the muscle you use this muscle with every move you make and with every breath you take so remember to tell your belly when you sneeze when you cough when you stand up when you sit down- belly button go back to my spine. Because remember when it goes back to the spine that's what strengthens this magical muscle.

how to belly breathe and howto do the little abdominal muscle exercise using your belly button

Now let's learn how we use your belly button

when taking a belly breath. Let's think of your lungs like little balloons and if we put these little balloons in

your belly we're gonna take air on through your nose and we're gonna blow the balloons up and the belly gets bigger.

Now tell your belly button let's take the air out of the balloons and have your belly button go back towards your

spine and all the air goes out. This is a belly breath and this belly breath if you breathe this way will give you lots of oxygen and lots of oxygen will give you lots of energy to do everything that you want to do every day

The last thing we're going to do is teach you how to use your belly button with one little exercise. So, what we're going to do is we're going to start the exercise with a belly breath. Put your hand on your belly. Now we're going to take air on through the nose and blow our lung balloons up and your belly goes forward. Now tell your belly button “let's go back to the spine” and it goes there. Now, for this exercise we're going to hold it

we're gonna put our hands on the tummy and hold it there for ten counts.

Do that exercise a couple of times a day and that will make your belly and your whole body stronger.

Spread the word

Now, I want to thank you for being my belly buddy and let you know that you can now ask anybody that you want to be your belly buddy but you have to promise me that you will teach them how to belly breathe and how

to do the little abdominal muscle exercise using your belly button.

Thanks so much for being my belly buddy.
