What is the Together Tape™?
This tape is used to aid in the healing of a diastasis recti.
It is used in conjunction with the diastasis rehab splint to aid in the healing process. If you are unable to use the diastasis rehab splint for any reason, you can use the tape on its own.
When to Use The Together Tape™
Because the skin on your belly is very sensitive, I recommend that you do not use it for the first four weeks of the Tupler Technique Program®. Use our corrective connective tissue cream to prepare the skin. Because of this sensitivity, we'll start slowly with the tape, which means for the first few times we'll use one above and one below the belly button.
So, in week one, we'll do one above the belly button and one below.
If everything goes well in week two, we'll use two above and two below, and if everything goes well in week three, we'll use three above and three below, and you'll continue to use three above and three below whenever you wear it for the duration of the program.
The tape is normally applied on your skin for four to six days. Allow the skin to rest for a day in between applications, and then apply the Corrective Connective Tissue Cream™ again.
The tape is resistant to water but not waterproof. As a result, when you shower, be sure you don't wet it too much.
If you notice any allergic reactions, stop using the tape immediately, wait a week, use the Corrective Connective Tissue Cream™, and then resume. The skin should be conditioned, and it should be safe to continue.

What is Diastasis Recti?
Diastasis Recti is what happens when the connective tissue of your stomach muscles due to:
pregnancy,
weight gain in the abdominal area,
abdominal surgery,
improper exercises (i.e. crunches & Pilates 100), &
gymnastics
The combination of weakened abdominal muscles and increased intra-abdominal pressure causes a continuous stretching in both a forward and sideways direction of the connective tissue that's in between the outermost muscles.
If you experience any pain, bloating, back pain or discomfort while doing physical activity it could be because of your Diastasis Recti. Read on for more information about the role of the Together Tape™ in the process of narrowing the gap between your recti muscles.
The Together Tape™ and how it can help with Diastasis Recti
The Together Tape™ is designed to aid in the healing of a Diastasis Recti. The tape works in combination with the Diastasis Rehab Splint® to enhance the closure process of a Diastasis Recti . When you're unable to wear the Diastasis Rehab Splint®, the tape can be worn on its own.
How the Together Tape™ aids in narrowing the gap of your diastasis
The tape works in a similar way to a Butterfly Band-Aid to bring the muscles and connective tissue together. When the tape is stretched as it is applied, it applies a pulling effect to go back to its original "un-stretched" position once it is placed on the skin. The skin's continual recoiling sends signals to the connective tissue and muscles, telling them to move in the same direction as the tape.
Cons of using the Together Tape™
At first, because the skin on your belly is so delicate, you might experience an allergic reaction to the Together Tape™.
Stop using the tape and wait a week if you have an allergic response. During this time, apply the Corrective Connective Tissue Cream. Your skin should be desensitized after a week, and you can begin using the tape again.
The tape is water resistant but not water proof.

Pros of using the Together Tape™
The Together Tape™ provides you with a perfect option when you can’t wear the Diastasis Rehab Splint®. It would seem awkward to wear a splint underneath a swimsuit but the Together Tape™ would go together perfectly with a one-piece swimsuit.
